Call to Order:

President Betty called the meeting to order and welcomed all guests.

The Invocation was given by 2nd VP Bob

The Pledge was led by Director Paul.

Secretary and Treasures Reports:

Director Pam motioned to accept minutes as presented. Treasurer Clayton
seconded the motion.
All approved.

2nd VP Bob motioned to accept the Treasurer's report as presented.
Director Pam seconded the motion.
All approved.

Committee Reports:

Life Membership:
Gainsville to receive on Friday. Pins have arrived.
Two checks were presented from Crowley Lions for Life Memberships.

Mobil Vision Unit:
Insurance renewal upcoming. Coverage will be raised to $50,000 to cover
equipment.
1st VP Vance motioned to raise amount. 2nd VP Bob seconded. All
approved.
Glenrose has scheduled the MVU for Aug. 6th.

Adult clinic :
The new clinic site at Catholic Charities was announced. First clinic to be
held July 15th. Equipment which was stored in the West Side Lions
clubhouse will be moved into the bldg.

Acknowledgments:
Director Laurie sent 2.

White Cane:
2nd VP Bob reported that Benbrook has made a contribution and that
patches were being distributed to participating clubs.

Quad District:
Next meeting is at 10:00 on June 19th. It will be held at Transplant
Services. President Betty & Director Al will attend.

Diabetic Essay:
Nothing to report at this time.

Eyeglass Collection:
Colleyville collected 1500 pairs for donation.

Programs:
President Betty reported1, Treasurer Clayton 1 and 1st VP Vance 1.

Vision Assistance Fund:
Cornea transplant recipient Quincy Datcher and wife Jackie attended and
spoke to our group. They thanked us for sponsoring his transplant and
reported a significant recovery of vision!
1st VP Vance reported that Andres Turrebiartes, who had formerly
withdrawn his application, has re-submitted, asking for help.
1st VP Vance motioned to assist. Director Paul seconded. All approved.

Old Business:
A discussion of equipment on the MVU was held. It was determined that
when needed, the phoropter loaned to PBT would be used for an extra lane
for the MVU.
Treasurer Clayton will make sure that our status as a registered agent with
the state is correct.
July Board Meeting and Officer Installation Dinner will be held at the
Pantego Lions clubhouse, July 18 at 1:00. Prices are $12 for pre-registering
before the 12th, $15 at the door. PDG Don Yandell will be the installing
official. DG Jeanne will sing.

New Business:
A Low Vision Seminar will be held in Ft Worth on Aug. 28th. LOEB will
participate.
President Betty reported that she had received a call from an equipment
donor who never received a receipt. This will be researched and sent.
The PBT Walkathon was discussed - LOEB participation will be for
children's screenings (1st VP Vance, Director Pam). Colleyville Lions will
also participate.
